Inspired.

Miss my TRIBE already....wish you were all here and we were elbow deep in our projects together! (instead of unloading the dishwasher and doing laundry!)
Nik--this pic is for you! First thing I bought when we arrived on Thursday at Inspired was the Heather Bailey Flutterby kit (so bummed I missed her class...but it was only offered early in the day...). I finished putting the book together on Thursday night - but no photos yet....her papers were as lusious in person as I had hoped...and I finally got my hands on some of her fabric in the vendor fair....wish our local shops carried her!
More soon! xoxo

P.S. Dietra-thanks for sittin' up late with me in the Crop Room - hope my girlie butterflies and flowers didn't give you HIVES....hee! Shannon---I owe you such a huge apology and RAK---how did I not mention how much I loved/love the ATC holders you sent to me?!?!

C is for Coffee, Cookies and CRAFTING!

Ohh...had a blast last night with my BFF AIMEE at the Creative Inkling class! (AIMEE--SERIOUSLY - why do we not take fabulous pictures of ourselves when we are together?!? sheesh. ) The crop was at the House of Coffee coffee Shop in Peddler's Village - the project was a minibook made of cardboard coffee cup sleeves....how clever is that? And the embossing powder was COFFEE SCENTED! oh for cute!

And oh my stinkin' HECK the new Bind-it-All is PINK and I finally have one after coveting it for oh-forEVER! (NIKI AND EMILY - GET YOURSELVES OUT HERE TO CRAFT WITH ME! It is fabulous!)

{Loved the color of that chalkboard in the coffee shop...forgot to ask Dave the Barista if he knew what brand that paint is....would love to do a wall in the kitchen....hmmmm....}

Miss Mikayla Models "The Mermaid"

How much cuter does this girl look in this apron than I do? She could wear it as a SKIRT!

I am insisting she donn it while we scrapbook her dance pages and our new project - "Mikayla's shopping bag book" - a little something we came up with to pay homage to her love for shopping and put her "shopping bag collection" to good use.
(Mikayla came up with the idea to spell out her name using letters cut from her favorite stores' shopping bags. We will make a scrapper out of her yet!)

2007 - Scrappies

Adding some scrapbook projects and pages while I try to figure out how to make a "sidebar" spot for them (I really need to move to Typepad, don't I? sigh.)

Minibook to celebrate my sis- and brother-in-law's 15th anniversary. Love you guys!

Our vacation scrapbook for the week in Mexico that was not to be (due to HURRICANES!) We went back to Universal instead. Still had a fabulous time, as always! LOVE YOU GUYS!

Creative Cafe - SO COOL

OK..whoever came up with the Creative Cafe is brilliant in my book! Stopped into my (not so local) LSS today - fully intending to ONLY get the items on my list (stuff to create some Tim Holtz-inspired tags -- have you seen his blog lately? SWOON.) and a "big ticket" item with my 40% off coupon ..... and I got there just in time for the Creative Cafe class!! (every Saturday - 12-2....oh my). HOW CUTE IS THIS LITTLE chipboard/transparency book? Only 6 dollars! All supplies provided. (You literally just stand there at the counter and create the project....) How in love with this BIRD am I?

The Big Reveal!

At last I can post some pics from the scrapbook we made for my SIL's 40th! This is my FAVORITE milestone birthday gift to create/give. Start with a blank scrapbook/album (love the KOLO ones--perfect size and easy to add pages as they are contributed--tho' the books get a bit unwieldy when there are more than 20 pages....I should try a three ring binder style next time.)

First, create an instruction sheet and send to friends/family along with a blank page and some "starter prompts" (e.g., "Lynne Defined;" "Lynne's Favorties at 40").

I then do a few "all about you" pages - and fill in any blank pages (the backs of those who only do one side, for example.)

For the cover, I made a MINI version of the invite (so loved the way the party invites turned out---thanks again to JOURNAL REVOLUTION Seesters Linda and Karen for the inspiration!)

So...here are some pages....
The cover:

And the "title page":

And a pocket to hold the party invite, and the "Lynne Defined," "Lynne Dislikes," and "Lynne's Favorites at 40" pages:

My hubby's pages (for his sister)--he wrote the note, picked the photos and chose the patterned paper layout (I did the putting together....great team effort! I will make a scrapper of him yet!):

A few more...don't want to post without the permission of the creators...all the pages were different and sweet and thoughtful and loving and funny....(my nephews wrote the sweetest things for their mom --not to mention her hubby!! he did a whole page where he wrote "I love you" in 21 languages!....I'll ask if I can post them before adding them here....) - Oh--and the envelopes are for those who sent in notes to be included in the book.

Fall Fun

Ok--again....apologies for the poor photo quality (where IS that dang camera manual?) - but wanted to post this mini book I made to remember our Fall Fun (payment to my sweet assistant, Mikayla!)...AND the start of a SCRAPBOOK PAGE because I am IN LOVE with this paper....and I wish I had a better pic to show how COOL the glitter letters look. David--your pumpkin makes me *GRIN* - xxoo!
